Vivekananda Polyclinic

The Vivekananda Polyclinic, is one of the novel medical centres in the state, providing extensive modern diagnostic facilities and specialized treatment for various diseases to not only local people but also those hailing from different parts of Uttar Pradesh as well as from far off places like Nepal.

The Polyclinic adopts various systems of treatment: Allopathic, Homeopathic Ayurvedic and Pranic Healing. Naturopathyand Acupressure are available too. Patients may choose any system that suits them.

For a developing country like India, with its limited resources and teeming population, it is hardly possible to provide Indoor treatment for all the patients. The Polyclinic has set up a precedent by emphasizing domiciliary (at-home) treatment in the Out-patient department, which is suited to Indian economy. In a changing situation where healthy competition, privatization and productivity are given prominence, eminent consultants and a few super-specialists have been included to the existing staff to keep up the quality of service rendered.

The Polyclinic has been recognized by the Government of India as a hospital for the treatment of the Central Government employees (CGE) and members of their family. It has also been recognized for the treatment of patients under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). Besides, there are corporate clients from other public and private sector enterprises.

The Government of India has started the Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) of tuberculosis cases under the aegises of the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Vivekananda Polyclinic has been chosen as a centre for its implementation in the Trans-Gomti area.

An ultra-modern complex consisting of 5 Operation Theatres with adequate pre-operative and post-operative facilities is functioning to cover various cases under general surgery, urology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, neurology, E.N.T. as well as Opthalmology There is a separate minor O.T. complex attached to the Emergency Ward.

A Bio-medical Waste Management Complex has been inugurated for proper bio-medical waste management.
